The Garnet Valley Middle School Drama Club opened its 2024-2025 show, Aladdin, on Thursday, January 30th! They had 4 sold-out shows over the weekend and closed them on Saturday, February 1st. The high school drama club also paid a visit on Friday, January 31st, to support the middle schoolers on their amazing show! I asked some people for their comments about the show and here’s what they said!

Emily Senkowsky: “In my opinion the show was amazing. All the actors and actresses were outstanding. They all worked very well together. The sets were incredible, they were complex while still bringing the whole show together. They didn’t take all the attention away from the actors but they gave them a background and things to act with. It’s so hard to believe that there were middle schoolers on that stage putting the show on. It was a magical experience from the sets, acting props to the singing.”

Emily Doughty: “Everyone in the cast and crew was great and I can’t wait to see what they do next year.”

Caitlin Hogan: “I thought Aladdin Jr. was such a good show! All of the kids worked very hard for months to put on this show, and it really payed off! Every show was sold out, and it really got their energy up too. Every aspect of the show from the actors to the set, to the costumes, and the choreography were all amazing!”

Sam Fedele: “ I loved Aladdin. I feel it’s the best production so far for the middle school! From the sets to the effects to the actors it was magical! It was especially hilarious and was such an enjoyable show!”

Ashley Lamb: “I thought that it was incredible! The sets and costumes were so detailed and beautiful. The acting and singing were also fantastic. Overall an amazing show that I’m glad I got to see!”

Kali Brewer: “ Aladdin was a magical experience!! The lobby was decorated absolutely beautifully! The musical itself was spectacular!!! The music was incredible, and the costumes shining in the lights were just as magical! You can tell everyone there had worked very hard and long to put on such a great performance as Aladdin.”

Hannah Wozniak: “ I thought that Aladdin jr was such a magical show. The elephant and the magic carpet were so cool and really brought the show to life. It was so well done and hilarious!”

Sophie Davar (Myself): This show was probably the best the middle school has ever done! It was filled with so much laughter, excitement, and entertainment! The sets were cooler than ever, the choreography was so fun to watch, and all the actors did such an incredible job! I cannot wait to see what they do next!
