This Friday, September 20, 2024, freshmen from Garnet Valley’s Performing Arts Association went to Brusters! This was a great bonding experience and we had so much fun together. This event was set up by our 9th grade liaisons, Emily Senkowksy, Layla Mcloskey, Kaidyn Potochar, and myself, Hannah Wozniak. It was a completely optional event but so fun if you did come! This is just one of the many fun events we will set up this year in Drama Club! If you want to be part of fun experiences like this just contact our director, Mrs Arters at ArtersH@garnetvalley.org. Even if you don’t want to be on stage performing, we have an amazing crew who takes on all the work behind the scenes!

One of our other bonding experiences includes cast bonding parties, where we exchange spirit buddy gifts. Spirit buddies are when you are paired with a random person in the cast and buy each other small gifts to exchange in between our two Saturday shows. Usually we discuss what candies and other treats we like and create a little basket for them. This shouldn’t be an expensive gift, usually around $15- $20, and it help’s you get to know someone new in the cast. We also have a goosechase on the first practice for every show! This is a fun opportunity to be on a team with some new people in drama club and get to know them better. We go on a scavenger hunt around the school and try to be the first team to finish. But, don’t worry, if you’re thinking about joining drama club we are all very inclusive and you are sure to make many new friends quickly! Whether you know people in it or not, you will soon!
