Colleen Hoover’s books began to soar in popularity due to its spike in attention on social media called “TikTok”. “It End with Us” is a book that follows a young girl Lily who was raised in a small town, she goes to college and then decides to move to Boston. She ends up meeting a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, who has a no dating rule, which is soon broken. Ryle is a stubborn, arrogant, assertive man who falls head over heels for Lily. But as her first love, Atlas Corrigan, comes back into the picture to fight and protect Lily, Ryle begins to act aggressively.

When reading this book I felt very connected to the main character Lily. Colleen Hoover used the first-person point of view which really connected Lily to us the reader. I also have to say the characterization and the development of the characters were something I’ve never seen before, which made me keep on reading.

Colleen Hoover's creation of dialogue, use of strong characterization, and amazing use of emotions make the reader unable to put down the book. Overall, personally finishing the whole book in 4 days, being unable to put the book down, I believe “It Ends with Us' by Colleen Hoover deserves all the attention it is receiving.
