Mother’s Day is right around the corner this upcoming Sunday, May 11th! To show your mom how much you appreciate her, here are some easy, DIY gifts that you can make for her this year!
Painted terracotta plants
How to make: buy a simple terracotta flower pot and a plant she’ll love. Then grab some paint or paint markers and draw whatever you like on the pot.
Paper flower bouquets
How to make: Cut out the petals and centers of flowers from paper. Get some type of glue and glue the petals together, and then the centers. Get green straws or more paper and glue together stems for the flowers. Next, take another piece of paper and shape it into a cone with glue or tape. Finally, finish the bouquet off with any touches you want to add.
A Cake
How to make: This idea allows for a lot of creativity, so find whatever cake your mom likes and decorate it beautifully!

Egg Carton Wreath
How to make: Get a couple empty egg cartons and cut out individual egg spots. Then, color and shape your pieces and hot glue them to a craft ring or plate.
Polymer coasters
How To Make: Get polymer clay and roll it into circles or another shape that's about ¼ inch thick and about 3 ½ inches wide. Then bake them in the oven at 275 degrees for 15 minutes. After letting them cool, paint them with acrylic paint and add a gloss if you want shine.
Breakfast in Bed
How to make: Combine your mom’s favorite breakfast meals like toast and pancakes with a little bit of love. Make heart shaped pancakes or make a little smiley face out of chocolate chips. Anything tastes better when it’s made with love.
Paper roses
How to make: Get a glass and some colored crepe paper. Cut out circles from the crepe paper and fold the first one over the edge. Then, place glue near the edge and middle of the first petal, laying the second petal half way over it. Continue this process until there is no room left to add more petals.
How to make: Get strawberries that are a good size and in good condition. Get a cup of microwavable chocolate (Microwaveable Dipping Milk Chocolate) and follow the heating instructions on the cup. For dipping, make sure to dip one strawberry at a time and hold them by the leaves. Twirl the strawberry in the cup and let the extra chocolate drip down before you let them cool on parchment paper.
Photo Jar
How to make: Get a glass jar and print out a family photo. Then put the photo around the inside of the glass jar. Finally you can add any small gifts like bath bombs, fuzzy socks, candy, or any other things your mom likes.
Watercolor line art
How To Make: Grab any watercolor paints you have lying around or go buy some at the dollar store. Then grab a cup of water and start activating your colors. Draw your mom a pretty picture, it doesn’t have to been just lines but something that you made out of love for your mom.
