As the beginning of the school year starts, and a new grade of freshman enters the high school, I can’t help but remember when I was a freshman, and all I wanted was some guidance and advice from the senior class. And now that all of the freshmen in my class are now seniors, we all have some pieces of advice to pass down.

“You should get involved in all the things that interest you now, because the four years go by really fast.”

“Build good relationships with and talk to your teachers, because some of them will end up being your favorites.”

“Highschool goes by much quicker than it seems at the time, so go out of your comfort zone! Try new activities and talk to new people.”

“Don’t be set in your ideas. Be open to change!”

“Don’t be embarrassed to ask for help when you need it.”

“Get involved with the things that interest you now! They will be something to look forward to through highschool.”

“Your grades will not make up the entire picture of your time at the high school, both on your transcript, and in your memories.”

“Remember to have fun!”

I will close this article out with something that I wish I had someone tell me when I was an underclassman, and that is: “Let yourself evolve while you are here. High school is a time to grow and change, and you will be a different person by the time you leave this school.”
