10 Halloween movies to watch this year!

Looking for a halloween movie to watch this year? Here's a list of ten different types of Halloween movies! 

1.

         First is hocus pocus, A tale of three witch sisters who want to look young forever. Although their ways of staying young might be a bit vile, this is a great comedy family Halloween movie.

2. Second is Beetlejuice, a story about a couple who dies and gets new people living in their old house. They try to scare away these new people with the help of a demon, Beetlejuice. There is also now a new beetlejuice two out if you like the first one! 

3.    Third is the Addams Family. The Addams’ are a bunch of abnormal but funny and lovable misfits. They may seem dark and dreary, but they aren’t afraid to be different from “Normal” people. There are many versions of this movie and even a show on netflix called “Wednesday”. This is a great watch for a family to enjoy!

            Fourth is Hubie Halloween, starring Adam Sandler.  On Halloween night in Salem Massachusetts, the town laughing stock, Hubie, finds himself involved in a murder investigation. This comedy movie is great to watch if you want to have a good laugh.

5. Fifth, The Nightmare Before Christmas is about a skeleton named Jack Skellington who comes from Halloweentown. He gets bored of scaring people every year and accidentally finds Christmas Town. He ends up kidnapping Santa and taking over his role. This movie is great for families and is a comedic and musical cartoon halloween film.

6. Next up is Disney’s Haunted Mansion, a story about a mom and her son who unknowingly buy a house haunted by 999 ghosts. There is one head ghost who has been looking for the 1000th ghost to unleash something terrible. This movie is a little scarier but it is still a great family watch!

7. For your next watch consider Goosebumps, based on the novels by R.L. Stine. This movie is about a kid who moves to a big town and meets R.L stine’s daughter. He accidentally releases all the monsters from his book and spends the rest of the movie trying to put them back in. This movie is a little scary, but it is also funny so I would recommend watching it with your family or friends.

  Up next is Edward Scissorhands, starring Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder. This is a story about a boy who has scissors for hands and is found by a young girl who falls in love with him. They undergo many challenges as Edward is seen as a monster. This is a classic monster movie to watch with your family.

Next up is Sleepy Hollow, a tale of the headless horseman haunting the town of Sleepy hollow. A detective, Ichabod Crane, is sent to discover why this horseman is killing people in the town. This movie is not exactly a family friendly movie as it has significant gore and some language, but it is still a great watch if you like more mature movies.

       The final movie is Witches, based on the novel by Roald Dahl. This movie is about a kid who accidentally stumbles into a witch convention with the most powerful witches in the world. He has to try to stop them from doing their evil deeds even after being turned into a witch.
