A Guide to being Trapped Inside: What to do with Your Snow Day

Given the weekend rumors of a major snowstorm that ended up being a mere slush, more individuals are now hoping for a snow day. The only thing about a snow day is, what is there to do when you're stuck at home?

In case a snow day comes up on short notice, here are a few different things you could do alone or with your friends and family to have a good day while trapped at home!

1. Movie Marathon

Everyone has a favorite movie series, and if not, a snow day is the perfect time to find a new one. Snuggling up with your friends or family and watching a few movies with plenty of snacks and a warm blanket will keep you cozy and comfortable from the cold weather outside. 

2. Attempt to Make Maple Candy

Baking is a popular idea for any day inside, but why not try something new while you have the chance? By following THIS simple tutorial, you can learn how to easily make maple candy outside using the snow that's trapping you in.  

3. Make a Full Course Meal

A warm home-cooked meal is something people crave around the winter season, especially when it's extra cold outside. As an added plus, your family will be excited to enjoy what you made…if it works out. 

4. Build a Snow Fort

Snowmen are complicated, so why not try something even harder? Attempting to build a fort outside seems easy enough at first, but getting it to stick isn’t always so simple. Building one could be a fun challenge to keep you occupied and moving throughout your day at home. 

5. Get Organized

A lot of people push off keeping their room, Google Drive, or backpack organized because it takes too much time. With a snow day, you have all the time in the world, so get to work! Not only will you be better organized at the end, but it will keep you productive and leave you satisfied after you see what you accomplished.
