The Philadelphia Chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is hosting the 2025 U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO), offering students a chance to showcase their chemistry knowledge and compete on a national stage. If you're not yet convinced about registering, here's what Aditya Parab, the Vice President of Chemistry Club, has to say:
"Taking the USNCO is a great way to test your chemistry skills, as well as making you appealing to top colleges! I encourage you to try your hand at it, you might discover a new passion!"
The preliminary exam, free of cost, will take place on Thursday March 13 during school. Guardians must register the student by January 7th (Tuesday). The website for registration: https://fs10.formsite.com/ACS_Outreach/2025USNCO/index
Sixteen of the top-scoring students from the Local Examination (with a maximum of 2 from each school) will be invited to attend the National Examination for the Section in April. Nationwide, the top 20 scoring students on the National Examination will be invited to attend a two-week study camp in June.
