Garnet Valley’s Newest Club

 Plus1 is one of Garnet Valley’s newest club! The club's mission is to promote inclusivity and friendship. The U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy   released an advisory warning of the danger of loneliness. The epidemic of loneliness doesn’t just impact mental health but physical health as well. “The mortality impact of being socially disconnected is similar to that caused by smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day” According to General Murthy. This is not something we take lightly, one way to prevent the epidemic of loneliness from spreading is building connections. That’s why Plus1 aims to establish real friendships. This should be targeted in a community-oriented approach, by having all students come together to support one another. Plus1 intends to foster a safe and welcoming environment by having games, treats, and music!
