This past week, members of GVPAA traveled to Philadelphia to see Beautiful - The Carole King Musical at the oldest theater in America, the Walnut Street Theater. The exciting trip began by having a private Q&A session with Siobhan Ruane - Director of Production, Matthew DeMascola - Production Technical Supervisor, and Stephen Rapp - Director of Marketing.

The drama club members were able to ask about the ins and outs of professional theater and learn more about the history and makeup of the theater itself. A tour of the Beautiful set, pit, lighting, and sound booth followed this.

After a quick lunch break around the city, the drama club was given the opportunity to watch the phenomenal show. Having done a Q&A, and backstage tour prior to the show, the GVPAA audience members were completely immersed in the musical, which even landed the show a standing ovation.

GVPAA would like to thank Walnut Street Theater for the fantastic and immersive experience given to the young actors and actresses within the school's program.
