This Sunday, Notre Dame, the famous Gothic cathedral finally finished its remodeling after the devastating fire that occurred 5 years ago. So today, in these articles let’s dive into what occurred and how the new and fresh building was celebrated.

Notre Dame is a Gothic-style Cathedral in France that is 861 years old, sadly 5 years ago it is believed that a large fire started because of a spark in construction that lit the old wood. Since the Cathedral was made out of “Old Oak” an extinct type of wood, the construction team substituted that for Oak wood a similar type of wood. Finally, after 5 long years of rebuilding the Catherdal was finished on Sunday and many celebrations occurred.

First, the head priest of France, Father Olivier Ribadeau Dumas, tapped the door 3 times with his staff made out of the same wood used to substitute old oak. Then a large ceremony was held inside the renovated cathedral where all the artisans, firefighters, and construction workers were celebrated and thanked by the President of France himself, Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frédéric Macron, Donald Trump, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Joe Biden also attended.

We all should take a moment to realize the dedication, persistence, and love that made this Cathedral a reality. It represents France’s dedication to its historic landmarks and respect for its culture. Thank you and Go Jags!
