Final exams are just around the corner, and it's almost time for students to showcase all of their hard work this year. It's no secret that finals can be intimidating, stressful, and exhausting. However, here are a few tips and tricks to help students out.

The first piece of advice I would give is a rather obvious one, start studying well in advance. By studying in advance, you can give yourself plenty of time to discover any questions you might have and ask for help. It also helps you to feel prepared and less overwhelmed.

Get plenty of sleep! Sleep is so important for many reasons, one being that it helps improve your focus and concentration. It is crucial that students take care of their bodies throughout the whole school year, but especially during finals week.

Another tip that could be beneficial to students is to create a study schedule. Whether that be on Schoology’s calendar, a notebook, Excel sheets, or any other platform, a study schedule is a great way to keep you on task and accountable.

Lastly, a great technique that many students use and find helpful for studying is jotting down on a blank sheet of paper all the information that they can remember/know. It can be anything from math formulas to historical dates. After doing so, reflect on what is written and focus on studying the things that you couldn't remember.  I wish the best of luck to everyone taking the finals! Remember to drink plenty of water, stay focused, get a good amount of sleep, and relax! Trust that all of your hard work this year will pay off and that you are prepared!
