Summer is quickly approaching and the school year is wrapping up. With that being said, here is a list of fun activities that you can do this summer!

  1. Go to the beach!

While this is an obvious one, there are so many great beaches not too long of a drive away from Garnet Valley! My personal favorites are Rehoboth Beach, Bethany Beach and Cape Henlopen State Park.

  1. Grab some ice cream!

Getting ice cream is by far the simplest way to make anyone's day. Plus, what would summer be without ice cream?

  1. Ride your bike

Riding a bike is great exercise and a fun thing that you can do with your friends! You can take a ride in your neighborhood or if you're looking for a nearby trail go to Concord Park.

  1. Get a summer job

While this one might sound boring to some, a summer job is a great way to get work experience and earn money without struggling with the hassles of balancing a job and school during the school year.

  1. Attend an outdoor concert!

There are so many great artists coming to town this summer! Check your socials or Spotify for a quick and easy way to check which of your favorite artists are performing this summer!

  1. Have a picnic

Having a picnic is the perfect way to spend a summer day! Invite your friends and set up the perfect Pinterest-worthy picnic.

  1. Hit the amusement parks

If you're an adrenaline junkie, then this option is perfect for you!

  1. Plant a garden

The summer is the perfect time to plant a garden! You can stop by Home Depot or any other local store that sells seeds and planters.

  1. Go camping

My favorite memories of the summer are always when I am on a camping trip with my friends and family. My favorite place to go camping is Assateague Island. It’s right on the beach and there are wild horses all around the campsite.

  1. Go to a drive-in movie

This might be the most timeless and classic way to spend a summer night. While drive-in movie theaters are harder to find, there are a few great options in PA and New Jersey.
